Amazing Changes With The New 2018 Toyota Tundra

The new 2018 Toyota Tundra was introduced at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. It now adopted the TRD Sport Package just like the new 2018 Sienna.

 

The last upgrade that the Tundra had was already in 2014. So, it was about time for Toyota provide a huge makeover on this model.  The model will still be available in 4X2 and 4X4 driving modes in Crew Max Cab and Double Cab body configurations.

So, what can you expect from the new 2018 Toyota Tundra? Let’s check out each detail.

2018 Toyota Tundra Exterior

The new 2018 Toyota Tundra suffered a huge makeover. You now have a 2-level grille which color matches the rest of the body. On the sides of the grille, you have the head lights that now feature LED lighting technology. Their cases also have space for the smog lights that also use LEDs.

Both bumpers (on front and rear) are also colored and this just turns the 2018 Toyota Tundra into a whole new truck. In order to enhance the front look even more, Toyota added a non-functional hood scoop.

In case you decide to buy the new 2018 Toyota Tundra, you can choose between the Super White, Midnight Black, and Magnetic Gray colors.

2018 Toyota Tundra Interior

While the exterior the 2018 Toyota Tundra seems like a whole new truck, it’s really tough to see what changed in the interior.

While the standard models will come with black cloth upholstery, the higher trims will include leather upholstery. The front seats are both powered and heated.

Even though Toyota didn’t make many changes in the interior, the same can’t be said about safety features. In fact, the new 2018 Toyota Tundra comes with the Toyota Sense-P Package as a standard. This package includes dynamic radar cruise control, auto high-beam headlights, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.

Engine

Under the hood, you can expect to see a 5.7-liter L, i-Force V8 engine which is capable of producing 382 of horsepower and 401 of torque. In what concerns with the transmission, the 2018 Toyota Tundra comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Even though it would be great to have other options in terms of the engines that come with the 2018 Toyota Tundra, the fact is that Toyota is a different manufacturer. They have their engines up and running and they tend to maintain them until they are “forced” to change them. However, this is also one of the things that allow them to be such a reliable brand.

Release Date and Price

As we already mentioned, the new 2018 Toyota Tundra was debuted at the Chicago Auto Show, earlier this year. We are expecting to see them arrive at the dealerships around September this year.

In what concerns with the prices, Toyota didn’t mention them. The current Tundra model is being sold between $30,000 and $50,000. However, we are expecting to see a slight increase in the price.
