When we talk about Toyota is hard not to remember the legendary Land Cruiser. And this amazing SUV is just about to have a new model – the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser. Full of luxury and comfort, the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser also has great capabilities to the off-road. And this is something that is hard to see.

2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Exterior

The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser is going to suffer huge changes on the exterior. First of all, there is a new grille that features even more slots than before. And to add an extra luxurious look to the SUV, Toyota made the chrome more pronounced. On the lower end, the bumper is also new as well as the fog lights also changed. While on the older Land Cruiser models they were round, now you will get them vertical.

The rear of the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser doesn’t seem to have many changes. From what we could see, both the tailgate and taillights seem almost the same as the current model. Even though we believe there could have been made some tweaks here and there, they are not very prominent.

2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Interior

There are also a lot of changes in the interior of the new 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser.

On the center console, you will find the new 8 inches infotainment system. They also made some changes to the layout of the HVAC vents. Even though we are expecting to see more changes, we just can’t precise exactly which ones will be. However, there are many rumors pointing to the fact that you may be able to enjoy a new steering wheel.

As always, you should also expect a lot of safety and driving features, Some of them include leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated and cooled seating, adaptive cruise control, hands-free entry, front, side and rear view cameras, front and rear parking sensors, Wi-Fi, USB, satellite radio, navigation, among others.

Engine

Under the hood, you can expect to see the current 5.7-liter V8 turbo engine which is capable if producing 381 of horsepower and 401 of torque. Although we believe this will the engine, the truth is that most manufacturers are taking the “green” route and Toyota can do it as well. In what concerns with the transmission, you can count with an 8-speed auto.

The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser also has a diesel version available. However, it will only be present on the European and Asian markets. The truth is that it wouldn’t make sense to put it available in the US as well.

Release Date and Price

We believe that the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser debut will occur at the Tokyo Auto Show in Japan in September. However, this will only be the debut for Japan. In what concerns other countries, we believe it will happen later this year.

In what concerns with the price, the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser will not be cheap just like their previous versions weren’t either. The current version of the Land Cruiser starting price is $84,700 and we believe it should continue at about the same price level for the new 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser. For the top trim levels, you can count on the price to go up to $100,000.
