After the release and the official unveiling of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma Diesel at the Detroit show, fans went mad about this car. The redesign which the vehicle has gone through compared with its previous model has been extraordinary. But the thing that some fans were hoping to here when the specs about the truck were announced is the diesel option trim.

As it turns out, we may yet get a chance to see the 2016 Toyota Tacoma Diesel which has been recently rumored about. The people from Toyota must have been keeping us in the dark or have kept this secret well preserved up their sleeves and were only waiting for the right moment to play their card. Starting from the fact that the vehicle does not include that much favorable fuel efficiency characteristics, the diesel option could be a right choice for the Tacoma.

Toyota actually had to produce this model if it wanted to stay in contention with other automakers which offered similar trims. Interior

This means that more technology has been stuffed inside the car but sadly they have left out to make it a bit more comfortable. Concentrating a bit too much to modernizes the car and adding some specific additions, they have perhaps forgotten to make the car a bit more comfortable to ride in. Excluded are finer materials which would have done good to the car’s overall comfort level.

What the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma Diesel now includes on the inside is the new breaking system with enhanced stability control. Added are parking sensors and a rearview camera which enhances the safety of the car. Additionally, 6 airbags are now a part of the Tacoma’s life support system. An interesting addition are the multi glazed windshields and the all-new seals around the doors, which diminishes the noise levels coming from the outside.

The update also includes a modified center console cluster. This alteration gives the car a more organic look which is quite useful. You will not have to fiddle with controls as they are all neatly laid in front of you.

As mentioned, the diesel option hasn’t been confirmed as of yet. Although the rumor mill says that it can happen despite the fact that Toyota has announced that they will not be including this option within the available trims so far. The diesel option for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma Diesel will perhaps be the best way to go, if they do not want to trend into the hybrid motor options that is.

There are certain speculations which say that if this option were true, the perfect bill for the engine would be using a 2.0 liter turbo diesel four-cylinder engine. This engine would be excellent for consumption reduction. As a reminder, the base option of the Tacoma uses a 2.7-liter 16-valve inline-four-cylinder engine, while the alternative trim option includes an all-aluminum 3.5-liter V-6 which enhances the horsepower of the vehicle.

Price

We cannot estimate when will the diesel option for the Toyota Tacoma brand hit the stands and when will they decide to incorporate this alternative trim engine to the benchmark. What we can estimate although is the price which will more than certainly be in the competitive range of the rivals.

Making the car too pricy will not make any sense as they will only be doing the rivals a favor. We expect that 2016 Toyota Tacoma Diesel’s diesel option price to range somewhere between $18 500 and $29 000.
